ADVANTAGES & BENEFITS

Overview:

TeleContinuity offers:

Complete Data and Voice Suite. Data and voice applications are useless unless they are connected to infrastructure. TeleContinuity can provide the access globally to the infrastructure you need to run your applications or restore operations from a disaster.

Telecom continuity protection during and after a disaster. Existing telephone numbers and extensions are re-routed by individual end users to ring where required, whether in one or thousands of locations, over functioning landline, cellular, VoIP, or cable networks.

Transparent simplicity for calling parties. Incoming calls use the same numbers and extensions as before. Users are reached in a manner that precisely duplicates normal (non-disaster) calling conditions.

A robust, carrier-independent system. The TeleContinuity solution leverages the best of the PSTN, Internet, and cable networks and layers on innovative software-based routing methodologies to ensure that people will receive their calls within minutes of a service interruption, even when the telecom infrastructure has partially or completely collapsed.

Restoration of Business Operations within Minutes of a Telecomunications Failure. The TeleContinuityTM Service will allow a company to stay open for business within minutes of a natural or man-made disaster. Any, and all, employees will be able to work out of a remote location, maintain contact with clients, suppliers, other plants, and staff and ensure business continuity, sales and production. When coupled with data backup, TeleContinuity will offer a complete and immediate workplace recovery solution.

Low Cost, Fully Outsourced, Seamless Integration. Priced per line or extension per month, TeleContinuity eliminates the need for an expensive off-site PBX at a remote hot-site or for expensive enhanced telephone services such as Centrex. Once activated, TeleContinuity deploys within minutes. Customers keep their existing carriers and there is no effect on existing carrier contracts or service. “Integration” is seamless as the data to manage the service is uploaded via the web and IVR and there is no new equipment or modifications to a company’s existing telecommunications operation or equipment. TeleContinuity or sales partner employees never have to set foot in a subscriber location.

Restoration of Full PBX Functionality and Extension Logic. Unlike call forwarding offered by the phone companies which can only re-direct main numbers, once calls are re-routed to our TPOPs we can re-establish all the normal PBX features, most important of which is the identification and connection to individual employees using their existing telephone number and extension. In addition to the restoring the employee “fabric” in the PBX, we restore all the other existing company messaging features including voice mail, faxing, call forwarding, speed-dialing, and conferencing.

Local Network Bypass via carrier/ISP diversity, path diversity, location diversity. When a LEC fails to terminate calls due to (1) the destruction of the local Central Office (CO), (2) a line cut from the local CO to the terminating enterprise, or (3) due to local network congestion, TeleContinuity can take the call out of the Verizon network, for instance, by using existing intelligent network routing features (switched re-direct) which sits in the SS7 signaling network. Once re-directed to our TPOPs, we can route the calls between the Internet and PSTN to bypass the local failure or congestion and terminate the calls via IP, PSTN or cable network as pre-selected by the individual end-user. For enterprise customers who subscribe to cable Internet service, we can also terminate calls over their existing POTS lines by routing calls through their cable pipe and router, into their VOIP gateway, and once converted out of IP, back into their existing PBX to make their desk phones ring.

Network Independence and Unlimited Connectivity. TeleContinuity can terminate all incoming calls over any network which the end user has indicated is available to them including landline PSTN, wireless, Voice over IP via the PSTN or cable networks.

Device Independence. TeleContinuity can terminate all incoming calls over any device which the end user has indicated is capable of receiving incoming traffic including POTS, cellular, and voice equipped PC connected to the Internet via PSTN or cable networks.

Location Independence. Key to our value add is the ability for each individual end user to be anywhere – not just at a pre-planned location – and to be able to receive their incoming calls over whatever network and device is available to them. Users can be at home, in their office, in a hotel, in their car, at a public Internet venue or traveling from place to place. Through a simple call into our IVR or log in via the web, each individual end user can easily re-direct their calls seamlessly to any location they happen to be at that time.

Dynamic Bandwidth on Demand. As TeleContinuity contracts for redundant PSTN and IP bandwidth at all of our connected TPOP facilities across the country, we can uniquely provide additional line capacity into a localized disaster region which may experience calling traffic 3X normal peak capacity. By converting the calls into IP and routing them between our TPOPs and around network failures and congestion, we can effectively make use of “pooled bandwidth” in areas unaffected by the disaster to terminate calls back into the network via the PSTN or IP.

Telecommunication Gap Insurance. Designed to work as primary backup or as “telecommunications gap insurance” to enfranchise all employees of an enterprise above and beyond a company’s existing back up plans (i.e. hotsites), TeleContinuity restores the communications capability of our customers within minutes of a service disruption brought about by fiber cut, PBX failure, fire, flood, earthquake, or catastrophic event.
